Gigli’s Photo of the Week

Photography by Rich Gigli

Horton Brook, New York

Spring Carol by Robert Louis Stevenson

WHEN loud by landside streamlets gush,
And clear in the greenwood quires the thrush,
With sun on the meadows
And songs in the shadows
Comes again to me
The gift of the tongues of the lea,
The gift of the tongues of meadows.

Rich, Your picture of spring on Horton Brook is the next best thing to the actual arrival of spring itself. (Never mind that the calendar says spring is here already.)

Gorgeous! (Where’s Horton Brook? Anywhere near Saranac Lake where Robert Lewis Stevenson spent a winter?)

Stunning! Thank you for capturing and sharing the beauty you see through your lens.

    Russ Layne…. Thank you

Horton is a small hamlet in southern Delaware County. The photo was taken on Horton Brook in front of my small country cabin. The brook feeds into the Beaver Kill and from there into the east Branch of the Delaware River.
