Gigli’s Photo of the Week

Photography by Rich Gigli

Spring Embrace – (Gigli 1997)

 Silent colors of spring

 the eye can not hear.

 Pinions of birds in flight

 the ear can not see.

 Boundless sky radiant

 the hand can not touch.

Oh ancient beauty in your fleeting moments awaken

rest upon the withered soul embrace.

    Gorgeous! (Where’s Cook’s Falls?)

Rich, we’re so lucky to get to see the world through your lens.

Hey Rich, How many years have we known each other? I never knew you wrote poetry. I like this one. It recalls e.e. cummings. (“eye cannot hear,” etc.)

    Rich,
Wonderful photo, and lovely poem too. We are in the midst of the most beautiful spring I can remember. John and I are visiting friends and family in the Hudson Valley (going to Cold Spring today), and the fields and hills are awash in color and texture. Thanks for sharing….

  5. Michael Kaufman Says:

You’ve done it again, Rich….capturing the splendor (in words too)!

    Michael
